Please don't mix up the book with the movie.
What are your thoughts on the Philosophers Stone?

I loved this book, though it may not be my favourite book in the series, I think it built up the main characters personalities really well, and got you in touch with the fictional world of hogwarts.

I agree. I did think that too much of the book was taken up with before he got to Hogwarts... but it did set the scene for the other six books to come through.

This book really describes Hogwarts well. From the first time I read it I wanted to sink into the book and reappear in Hogwarts.
